Responsible Gambling Is Central to Everything We Do at q5det

At q5det, we believe that betting and gaming should be an enjoyable form of entertainment — full stop. Whether you're watching Pakistan take on India in a T20 classic or following an evening Premier League fixture, the experience should be fun, not stressful.

That is why responsible gambling is not an afterthought for us — it is embedded in how we design our Platform, train our support team, and communicate with our users across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar.

We provide a full suite of self-management tools, clear information about the risks of gambling, and direct pathways to professional support for anyone who needs it. We also enforce a strict 18+ adults-only policy and apply Know Your Customer (KYC) age verification to every registered account before deposits or withdrawals are permitted.

Pakistani users are specifically reminded that the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and other applicable laws may restrict gambling activities in Pakistan. q5det does not claim to be licensed, approved or regulated by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority or any other Pakistani authority. Users are solely responsible for determining whether their use of the Platform is lawful in their jurisdiction.

Remember: Gambling should never be seen as a way to make money, recover financial losses, or solve personal or financial problems. Every bet carries risk, and the house always maintains a statistical edge over time.

Tools to Keep You in Control

All of the following tools are available to registered q5det users directly through Account Settings. They can be activated immediately — no waiting period, no approval needed for restrictions.

💰
Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your q5det account. Reductions take effect immediately. Increases are subject to a mandatory cooling-off period so you cannot override your own limit in the heat of the moment.

📉
Loss Limits

Define the maximum net amount you are willing to lose within a set period — daily, weekly or monthly. Once your loss limit is reached, further betting is automatically blocked until the period resets. No overrides permitted during the active window.

⏱️
Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration for continuous play. When you reach your limit, you will receive an on-screen reminder and the option to continue or end your session. This tool is especially useful during long live cricket or PSL match sessions.

🚫
Self-Exclusion

Voluntarily block access to your account for a defined period — minimum 24 hours — or permanently. Self-exclusion requests are actioned promptly by our support team. Once active, self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen exclusion window.

🔔
Reality Checks

Receive periodic pop-up reminders during your gaming session showing how long you have been playing, your net win or loss position during that session, and a prompt asking whether you would like to continue or take a break.

❄️
Cooling-Off Periods

Take a short break from gambling without fully closing your account. Cooling-off periods can be set for 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During a cooling-off period, you will not be able to log in, deposit or place any bets.

How to Activate Responsible Gambling Tools

Setting a limit or triggering a self-exclusion takes less than two minutes. Here is the process for any of the tools listed above.

1
Log In to Your Account

Sign in to your registered q5det account using your username and password. Two-factor authentication may be required if enabled on your account.

2
Navigate to Account Settings

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu. Then choose the "Responsible Gambling" tab.

3
Select the Tool You Need

Choose from Deposit Limits, Loss Limits, Session Time Limits, Reality Checks, Cooling-Off or Self-Exclusion. Each tool has its own dedicated settings panel.

4
Set Your Parameters and Confirm

Enter the limit amount or exclusion period, review the details on screen, and confirm. Restrictions are applied to your account immediately. You will receive a confirmation email as a record.

5
Contact Support If You Need Help

If you have any difficulty activating a tool, or if you need an urgent self-exclusion applied by our team directly, contact us at [email protected] at any time. We will action urgent requests as a priority.

Is Your Gambling Still Under Control?

Honest self-reflection is one of the most important steps in staying safe. Ask yourself the questions below. If you answer "yes" to two or more, we strongly encourage you to use one or more of our responsible gambling tools or to seek external support.

Self-Assessment Checklist

Honest answers — for your eyes only

1
Do you spend more money on gambling than you originally intended when you started the session?
2
Have you borrowed money, used savings, or sold possessions to fund gambling activity?
3
Do you gamble to recover money you have already lost — sometimes called "chasing losses"?
4
Has gambling begun to affect your relationships, work, study or daily responsibilities?
5
Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you try to cut down or stop gambling?
6
Do you hide the extent of your gambling from family members or close friends?
7
Have you made repeated unsuccessful attempts to control, cut back or stop gambling?

This checklist is for informational purposes only and is not a clinical diagnostic tool. If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, please seek professional guidance.

Responsible Gambling: Do's and Don'ts

Good Practices
  • Set a strict gambling budget before each session and stick to it regardless of whether you are winning or losing.
  • Treat gambling purely as a form of entertainment — the same way you would budget for a cinema trip or a sports event in Lahore.
  • Take regular breaks during sessions, especially during long live events like PSL matches or ICC tournaments.
  • Use q5det's deposit and loss limit tools proactively — set them before you feel you need them.
  • Keep gambling separate from your personal finances — never gamble with rent, bill money or funds set aside for essentials.
  • Talk openly to someone you trust if you feel gambling is getting out of hand.
  • Use the self-exclusion tool the moment you feel you need a break — no reason is required.
Things to Avoid
  • Never gamble to recover money you have already lost. Chasing losses almost always leads to losing more.
  • Do not gamble when you are upset, stressed, tired or under the influence of alcohol or substances — your judgement is impaired.
  • Avoid treating gambling as a primary or secondary source of income. The odds are always in the house's favour over the long term.
  • Do not skip meals, sleep or work to continue a gambling session.
  • Never borrow money to fund gambling, whether from friends, family or financial products.
  • Do not ignore warning signs — if family or friends express concern about your gambling, take it seriously.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent a self-exclusion by opening a new account. This is prohibited and will result in permanent closure of all associated accounts.

Strict 18+ Policy — No Exceptions

q5det operates exclusively as an adults-only platform. Access is permitted only to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the higher minimum age required by the applicable Operator's license jurisdiction. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.

Every registered account is subject to KYC age verification. Until verification is satisfactorily completed, deposit and withdrawal functionality remains restricted. Where an account is found to be held by a person under the minimum age, the account will be closed immediately, all transactions cancelled, and any balance may be forfeited.

If you share a device with younger family members — as is common in many households across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other Pakistani cities — we strongly recommend the following protective measures:

  • Always log out of your q5det account after each session.
  • Use a strong, unique password that younger users cannot guess.
  • Enable screen lock or app lock on your device when not in use.
  • Consider installing parental control software on shared devices.
  • Speak openly with younger family members about responsible online behaviour.
🔞
Age Verification (KYC)

Every registered q5det user must complete government-ID-based age verification before deposits or withdrawals are enabled. Accepted documents include Pakistani CNIC and valid passport.

👨‍👩‍👧
Parental Controls

Parents and guardians can use third-party parental control applications to restrict access to gambling websites on shared devices. Information about these tools is widely available from child safety organisations.

🚨
Report Underage Access

If you suspect that a person under 18 has accessed q5det, please report it immediately to [email protected]. We investigate all reports as a priority matter.

Never fund gambling from money set aside for household essentials — such as rent, utility bills, grocery budgets or school fees. Payment references on this platform such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah are contextual only and do not imply endorsement of gambling by those providers.

🧠
Mental Health Awareness

Problem gambling is closely linked to mental health challenges including anxiety, depression and stress. If gambling is affecting your mental wellbeing, please speak to a healthcare professional or a trusted person in your life.
